Modi, 73, now equals the achievement of Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister, by winning elections in 1952, 1957, and 1962.
Prior to the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi hosted a customary high tea for members of Parliament who were to be inducted into the Cabinet and Council of Ministers. This gathering took place at his residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in the national capital.
