KARAM Safety engages industries and communities during National Safety Month

KARAM Safety, a leading global provider of personal protective equipment (PPE) and fall protection solutions, observed National Safety Month with an extensive range of on-ground initiatives designed to boost safety awareness across both industrial and public settings. Going beyond the traditional National Safety Week, the company expanded its efforts into a month-long campaign to widen its reach and promote sustained behavioural change.

As part of the programme, KARAM Safety partnered with prominent industry players such as SMS Group, Ashok Leyland, and Tata Group to conduct on-site product training sessions at various locations, including manufacturing units, factories, and construction sites. These sessions focused on hands-on demonstrations, helping workers gain a clearer understanding of the correct usage and real-world application of PPE. Through direct engagement at workplaces, the company connected with a large workforce and reinforced the importance of maintaining high safety standards.

Speaking about the initiative, Hemant Sapra, President – Global Sales and Marketing at KARAM Safety, emphasised that safety should be seen as a continuous commitment rather than just a compliance requirement. He noted that the National Safety Month initiative was aimed at extending awareness beyond workplaces and encouraging communities to adopt safer practices in everyday life.

In addition to its industrial outreach, the company extended its campaign into public spaces with the support of its regional sales offices. Canopy stalls were set up in busy marketplaces, where teams interacted with the public to raise awareness and share practical safety tips. The initiative drew significant interest from both workers and the general public.

The observance also marked the inauguration of the 55th National Safety Week, held under the theme “Encourage, Engage, and Educate.” Activities began with the National Safety Council flag hoisting across manufacturing facilities nationwide, followed by a keynote address highlighting progress in reducing incidents and stressing the importance of near-miss reporting in achieving the organisation’s ‘Zero Harm’ vision.

To further strengthen its safety culture, KARAM Safety also conducted a series of internal engagement activities aimed at encouraging employee participation and fostering shared responsibility.

Through this month-long initiative, KARAM Safety reiterated its commitment to building a culture of safety that extends across industries and communities, ensuring that awareness and education lead to safer environments for everyone.
